We bought an old townhouse to renovate in Oliva, Spain.
The house is located in the beautiful old town of Olivia on the Costa Blanca. It takes only 10 minutes by bike to get to our favourite beaches in the area and approximately 1 hour from the airports in Valencia and Alicante.
However, before we can enjoy our new holiday home, we have some major building work ahead:
Whilst the outside walls and windows are in great shape, the interior needs a full renovation. The staircase is in the wrong place, making the house feel much smaller than it is. The kitchen does not have any windows and is only accessible from the terrace. The bathrooms are located away from the bedrooms across the patio – and the colour scheme is a random mess. Oh, and not to mention that the first floor needs structural stabilisation work.
You can see, this is quite a project to keep us busy whilst we are stuck at home during lockdown.
